Beekeeping Experience

The perfect gift for yourself or anyone interested in bees and beekeeping.   This is a two hour hands on experience which covers the basics of beekeeping, the hive and the bees.
 
Learn about the different bees within the colony and their roles
Get kitted out in a full beekeeping suit and view a hive inside and out.
Handle frames of bees and carry out inspections with the head Beekeeper
Search out the Queen bee and check how much honey and pollen has been stored.
Lots of time for questions and the opportunity to try some honey
Hot or cold refreshments and cake are provided.
 
Our beekeeping experiences are for a maximum of 4 people to allow plenty of opportunity for all to enjoy a full and informative hands-on experience.  We can arrange for larger groups - please contact us for more details.  Our experiences take place at one of our apiary sites in the beautiful South Devon countryside
 
Beekeeping Experiences take place on various dates throughout May to August and can be purchased at any time of the year.  A gift voucher will be sent to the purchaser or the recipient - just pop us a message with any details or instructions and we will arrange - with full details of the experience and how to book.  We can also add a bespoke birthday or Christmas card and any message.  
 
Please be aware that experiences are weather dependent and if the forecast for the day is unfavourable this will need to be re-arranged.
 
Cancellation – If for any reason the session is cancelled by you, 25% of the session fee will be retained and the balance returned to the account that booked the session.  Should we need to cancel for any reason (such as weather conditions mentioned above) the session can be changed to another suitable day and time or the full fee refunded.
